The Shape of Sound
The shape of sound specialises in musical instrument interfaces for adding Geometry and movement to music in 3D, looking to create music using intuitive methods such as drawing, telekinetic conduction with the Kinect and motion based control using accelerometer devices like the WiiMotes.
Sketch Synth 3D
Sketch Synth is a 3D Control Interface and samples based synth rolled into one. Sketch Synth contains all the functionality of Sketch Sound 3D and includes Midi Output, OSC input and Output and is automatically configured to by compatible with OSC input from a Kinect using tools such as OSCeleton or OSCKinnection, and WiiMotes using OSCWiiRemote. It also can use it's OSC output to control visualisation software such as processing and OSCSketchVisualizer. By combing all these elements it is possible to draw 3D soundscapes and make custom visualisations for the for a truly sci-fi musical experience.

in your own samples and use

change, filters, chorus... using
it's 3D control interface. Once you've created the sounds you
are looking for then you can
use it to build up patterns and
sequences until you have your
own 3D soundscape. With features like Audio Copy and Paste on the iPad you can quickly build up new samples in other apps and transfer files into the synth, apply an effect in 3D, record the result and then send it back to another app.

Sketch Synth 3D is available on the Mac, iPad 1st and 2nd generation, and Windows beta versions are available for people who would like an early glimpse at the synth on a windows machine
